Color & Contrast

Hex, RGB, HSL conversions, WCAG contrast and tint ramps.

Hex (3, 4, 6 or 8 digits), rgb(), hsl(), or a CSS name.

Used by the contrast mode: usually the text colour on the first one.

Changing this recomputes immediately.

Contrast follows WCAG 2.1 relative luminance; APCA is not implemented here.

What to watch for.

Contrast ratios are computed from the sRGB channels with the WCAG 2.1 formula, so they describe how a screen renders these two colours, not how they look on paper or through a projector. Alpha is ignored by the ratio: a translucent colour has to be composited on its background first.
